DEAR LADIES AND GENTLEMEN

I have a great pleasure to present to you this publication showing the increasing potential of Radom County. It has a population of more than 150,000 living in 13 towns and townships, concentrated around Radom that serves as the county seat and capital of the region. Radom County features more than a hundred well-prospering big and medium businesses operating in many industries, primarily metal processing, food processing, logistics and transport, as well as more than ten thousand small enterprises contributing to economic growth of the entire region.
Central investment projects, including Warszawa–Radom Airport, which in the coming decade will provide service to 10 million passengers a year, the S7 expressway (running from the north to the south), the planned expressway no. 12 (running from the east to the west), the high-speed rail Warszawa–Radom–Kielce–Kraków, and a well-developed transport network of modernized county roads are advantages that in a few years will make Radom County the best place to attract investments with national and international capital.

Radom County is also involved in implementation of projects in such fields as education, healthcare and social services. It administers several secondary schools, including high schools with graduates successfully applying to prestigious universities. Local secondary technical schools, thanks to innovations and cooperation with businesses and employers, provide educa-tion in most in demand professions, sought after and valued on the job market. Access to public healthcare system with specialist services is provided by two hospitals in Pionki and Iłża. Both of them are in the so-called state hospital network.

Radom County is an area known for its rich culture and history, interesting, unique land-marks and events, as well as spectacular scenic and natural assets.The picturesque town of Iłża with a castle towering over it, the beautiful forest reserve Królewskie Źródła (Royal Springs), the meandering Radomka River running through the local forests and fields, and the constantly expanding network of biking trails make that Radom County is a great place for weekend get-aways and exploration of abundant and unspoiled nature.
